Shock may be a 2004 Indian Tamil-language supernatural horror film directed and createdby Thiagarajan. The film options his son Prashanth and Meena in lead roles, whereasAbbas, Thiagarajan, Suhasini, Kalairani, and Sarath baboo, amongst others play supporting roles. The music is by Salim-Sulaiman. The film was a remake of Ram Gopal Varma's Hindi film, Bhoot (2003), and was freeon twenty three Gregorian calendar month2004 to a positive response from critics.[1][2] The film was triple-crown at the boxworkplace.
The film revolves around Vasanth (Prashanth), a stock analyst, and his mate Malini (Meena).the 2 ar in explore for a flat in Madras. Vasanth finds the right place on the twelfthfloor of a high-rise residence.
However, the flat contains a frightful past. The previous occupier of the flat, Manju (Meena), killed her kid, and so jumped from the balcony and died. Malini learns regardingthis incident and becomes oddly fixated with the story. Then, a series of cryptic experiences drive her to close madness. Vasanth is convinced that she has developed some form of folie. He consults a medical specialistnamed Dr. Rajan (Sarath Babu) and begins to doubt that his mate is full of a psychologicalunwellness. The couple's maid (Kalairani) believes Malini to be possessed ANd calls in an exorcist (Suhasini).
Meanwhile, ostensibly unrelated eventspresent itself round the building: thesecurity guard was dead along with hishead utterly twisted; one in all the residents, Ajay (Abbas), behaves erratically; and a murder happens. Inspector Paramasivan (Thiagarajan) is distributed to analyze the murder.
The exorcist spends time with Malini and learns that she is possessed by Manju. Vasanth goes to Manju's mother (K. R. Vijaya), and along with her facilitate, the possessed Malini letseverybody understand that Ajay lustedonce Manju and compelled himself on her, and to save lots of herself, she jumped from her balcony. Later, Ajay complete that her son had witnessed the murder and got thesecurity guard to throw the small boy from the balcony, and making a pretend story that the girl killed her son and so committed suicide. By killing the security guard via Malini, Manju takes revenge for her son's death and desires to kill Ajay. At the minute, the mother comes and tells her dead daughter's spirit that she cannot take revenge from Ajay bycreating Malini a killer, therefore Manju leaves Malini's body, and Ajay is thrown beforeof everybody.
The story ends with Ajay reaching to jail and Parmasivan telling him to rot during a roomforever. once Paramasivan leaves the cell, Ajay finds himself face-to-face with Manju. He starts beggary for mercy, however his voice fades out as she attracts closer; it's implicitthat she kills him
